As reported by the radio station CBN, the files cover 893 cases of sightings in Brazil, dated from 1952 to 2023, and are arranged chronologically by the date of the incident.
Here’s how you can access the Brazilian UFO files:
Go to the website of the archive system SIAN (Sistema de Informação do Arquivo Nacional)
Here you can either log in with an already registered account by clicking “Acessar” (Access), or create a new one under “Não tenho cadastro” (I don’t have an account). In addition to the Portuguese-language version of the website, an English version is also available. However, the majority of documents and materials are in Portuguese.
For non-Brazilian citizens (who must normally register using the Brazilian tax ID CPF and a password), you can choose “Foreigner” under “Documentation” after entering address and password details. Then, check the “I am not a robot”-box and confirm by clicking “Entrar” (Log in). After successful registration, log in again on the homepage by clicking “Acessar” (Access), and once logged in, navigate through the top menu “Favoritos” (Favorites) to “Objetos Voadores Não Identificados” (Unidentified Flying Objects).
Now you can select the desired cases and view the information available in the National Archive.
In addition to browsing the files and materials, internet users can also contribute to the archive themselves by sending content to the email address supra_normalizacao@an.gov.br.
Another option is to submit documents in person to the main office of the National Archive, located at Praça da República 173, in downtown Rio de Janeiro.
Note: Originally, the files were scheduled to be released on June 13, 2025. This now early release has surprised even insiders. A thorough review of the Brazilian UFO files is expected to take some time.
